INTRODUCTION
Sustainable, innovative, quality- these are the words that describe ISARA the best. Ever since it has been created, ISARA has surpassed all boundaries, being loved by parents all across the continents.
We always asked ourselves what parents want, and we answered them with innovation. The story of ISARA started way back in 2012, from a mother’s love, from all the care for her family in a world lived on fast forward, when the need to always adapt is greater than ever.
The dynamic of a babywearing family, no matter the age, size or preferences, is immersed in all ISARA baby carriers: The ONE, The Trendsetter, Quick Full Buckle Carrier, Quick Half Buckle, QuickTie, Quick Half Buckle Preschooler and Preschooler.
There’s now one ISARA for every parent, baby size, preference or budget. One carrier will speak your babywearing language, for sure!
Each one of them is special and can complete your babywearing journey at some point. They do not exclude each other, they do not complete each other, they simply can be part of your babywearing journey at some point and be just the kind of babywearing gear you need.
Our brand is based on a few core beliefs. At the heart of those beliefs is the focus on environmentally friendly and premium materials. We are an honest, clean brand that believes in sustainable packaging and chemical-free, organically sourced fabrics.
I. ABOUT ISARA
1. Where are the ISARA products manufactured?
ISARA is based and entirely manufactured in Romania, Europe, in the heart of Transylvania.
2. Quality control
All products are checked not once, not twice, but THREE times, before they are carefully packed and prepared for you!
3. Are ISARA products fair trade?
Yes, we value the world around us and we want to create products that not only help parents and babies, but products that are made to help everyone around us - the community, the environment. Some of us say that the positive energy we put into creating every product transforms into sleeping dust, and babies seem to agree with us!
4. Are ISARA baby carriers organic?
All ISARA organic cotton fabrics are GOTS certified! Cotton is not treated with pesticides, insecticides or fertilizers and does not contain heavy metals or formaldehyde, making fabrics safe for babies.
Taking care of our environment is part of our life. Here at ISARA recycling has become a lifestyle. We always encourage our colleagues and friends to recycle everything, from paper to plastic or glass. Also, purchasing things that are not harmful to the environment and their fabrication process does not involve chemicals has always been extremely important to us!
Therefore, all the fabrics that we use are 100% organic, natural fibers, GOTS certified.
The printed decorative canvases are not organic, but they are 100% cotton. This canvas is situated only on the outside and the inner layer that comes in contact with the baby is 100% organic canvas.
5.What type of materials are being used?
Using only high-quality materials was our priority. A large amount of investment was made in finding the best quality materials, from fabrics to the buckles and straps. The buckles and velcros of the carriers are supplied by the world’s most prestigious brands, recognized even in the automotive industry for reliability and endurance. Additional elastic bands were added for more safety, memory foam for your comfort, and the webbing was specially woven for us and does not unravel.
6. Are ISARA baby carriers ergonomic?
The International Hip Dysplasia Institute certifies ISARA as a producer of ergonomic and hip healthy products. ISARA favors the normal growth of the physiological curves of the spine (cervical lordosis, dorsal kyphosis, and lumbar lordosis) and keeps baby's legs bent and spread apart, following the position recommended for the prevention and treatment of hip dysplasia.
7. Is ISARA tested according to Safety Standards?
ISARA soft structured carriers are tested and certified according to the ASTM Safety Standards and the European Normatives of Safety. Your baby’s safety is extremely important to us, this is why we considered it a must to make sure that everything is safe and in place, from every stitch to every embodied detail.
Large costs and time investments were involved in making sure your baby is safe to be carried in ISARA baby carriers. And it was all worth it!
We have studied each feature, one at the time. Good support for the baby's head, neck, and back, regardless of the age of the baby, was a major factor we wanted to accomplish. The deep seat and the knee to knee coverage were another factor that we have found extremely important for your child’s safe position into the carrier. High-quality buckles were added and the webbing, woven especially for us, does not unravel.
The instructional literature is rich and extremely detailed, doubled by videos that show and explain step by step how to properly adjust ISARA baby carriers for a safe carry.
In the testing protocol, numerous fall and suffocation hazards were tested, and ISARA baby carriers passed them all. At ISARA you will not find sharp edges or corners and no detachable parts are potentially edible. The locks are solid and the fabrics are not flammable. The elastic found at the hoods cannot be extended to potential suffocation hazard. The leg openings are wide enough for a comfortable wear yet not a potential risk for fall hazard.
8. What is the weight limit of ISARA baby carriers?
ISARA has been tested according to ASTM Safety Standards and European Normatives. It has been certified for carrying babies up to 20 kg. Even at this weight, ISARA gives you a comfortable fit, distributing your child’s weight evenly between your shoulders and your hips. Also, the memory foam from the waist belt and the padded shoulder straps increase your comfort.
II. WHICH ISARA CARRIER DO I CHOOSE?
1.How are ISARA baby carriers different from other baby carriers?
ISARA baby carriers are different by design, setting a trend in innovation and adjustability. You can always adjust them to yours and your baby’s needs, ensuring at the same time the correct M position and the optimal back and head support.
2.The canvas fabric and the wrap conversion fabric are both organic cotton, GOTS certified. What is the difference between them?
All ISARA organic fabrics are GOTS certified. The woven fabrics are woven especially for ISARA in a jacquard, broken twill or a sateen wave, while the others are canvas type with or without designers’ prints.
The woven fabric is cooler in the summer days and has a higher elasticity on the diagonal, which makes it fit and “dress up” the child better.
3.Why is the Full Wrap Conversion more expensive than the others?
The fabric used for Full Wrap Conversions is woven especially for us, in limited quantities, made of 100% organic cotton & natural fibers, GOTS certified (The Global Organic Textile Standard). The fabric is suitable for all season, thick enough to be supportive, yet thin enough to be soft and cozy.
ISARA Full Wrap Conversions perfectly combines the beauty and comfort of a woven wrap with the ease and support of a SSC.
4. What weave are ISARA woven fabrics?
All the cotton we use in our fabrics is 100% organic and the blends contain only natural fibers. The cotton wovens we use are medium weight fabric (280 gsm), woven in a jacquard weave.
Blends with linen and cotton are also available, in jacquard weave, 266 GSM, 45% organic cotton, 55% natural linen. Discover the Au Naturel Collection on our website: https://www.isara.ro/en/search?poscats=0&s=au+naturel
If you prefer bamboo, ISARA Green (R)Evolution collection is made of 80% bamboo and 20% cotton. It is a medium weight fabric (280 gsm), woven in a jacquard weave. https://www.isara.ro/en/search?controller=search&poscats=0&s=green+%28R%29evolution
The Uni Collection comes with a 220 GSM, woven in sateen weave. https://www.isara.ro/en/search?controller=search&poscats=0&s=Unicolor
The Pixelated Collection is woven on jacquard weave, 245-250 GSM. https://www.isara.ro/en/search?controller=search&poscats=0&s=pixelated
5. I would like to make my own custom made Full Wrap Conversion. What do I need to know?
We have always admired the potential of a beloved woven wrap, full of beautiful memories. We love to transform them into stunning SSCs, giving you the possibility to take advantage of the characteristics of a baby carrier with adjustable features. You can find more information about this delightful process on our website (http://bit.ly/PIMPmywrap).
6. Are all ISARA carriers adjustable?
All ISARA baby carriers ever created are multi-adjustable and innovative, #patentpending.
7. What does V4 found in The Trendsetter description mean?
ISARA V4 is the fourth version of ISARA The Trendsetter. Since the release of ISARA, we have always worked on improving each feature so it can assure you the best babywearing experience, both for the wearer and the baby. V4 comes with a new and even more comfortable belt, optimised straps for more flexibility, a larger hood and a fitting belt included in the package.
8. What carrying positions are possible with ISARA?
The ISARA soft structured carriers are suitable for front carry, with parallel or crossed shoulder straps, as well as for back carry and hip carry, with the baby always facing you, as recommended by experts.

2. How do I know I have adjusted the seat to the right dimensions?
As a general rule, the baby carrier should fit from knee to knee, without an overextension of the baby's legs. ISARA will grow along with your child, so you can enlarge the carrier, millimeter by millimeter, just as much as needed. Before adjusting the carrier for the first time you can measure your child's legs opening so that you know how much it is needed.
3. Where and how should I place the waist belt?
Proper positioning of the waist belt should be parallel to the ground. Avoid placing it on different heights from the back to the front. If something feels uncomfortable, maybe this is the reason.
By placing it correctly, the baby's weight will be perfectly distributed between your shoulders and your hips. The waist belt should be tight around your body so that it stays fixed without folding when you place the baby in the carrier.
The proper height of placement is the one that ensures a position of the baby "close enough to kiss".
4. How do I know I have adjusted the panel at the right height for a proper head and back support?
The proper height should cover your baby's back and his neck, especially when the baby does not have full control over his head.
Based on your baby’s needs, the body of The ONE & The Trendsetter can be adjusted, lowered or raised, on both sides, or asymmetrically. When raised, it provides support for the child's head, needed especially for small babies. If the baby falls asleep in the carrier, the panel can be extended for more support or privacy. The correct height of the panel is up to the nape of your baby's neck. For more support, you can choose to add a piece of rolled fabric into the opening formed when the panel is closed, as an extra head support for a small sleeping baby.
For toddlers, who might like to stay with their hands out of the carrier, you can adjust both webbings and ensure a lower panel.
When using ISARA Quick Half Buckle or Full Buckle, you can adjust the height of the panel from the waist belt before putting it on and use the hood for more support when the baby's asleep.
IV. BABYWEARING COVERS, ACCESORIES & MORE
1. Which is the difference between the Clever Cover and the Winter Cover?
While the Winter Cover already has an inner layer for warmth, the Clever Cover can be adjusted and combined to fit the weather itself. The Clever Cover is, as the name suggests, Clever - you can wear it by itself or together with the ISARA Warm Clever Cover - with easy to use snap fasteners. The RAIN cover can be attached easily and rapidly to the Warm Clever Cover. You can also wear the ISARA Warm Clever Cover by itself.
Place the ‘Warm’ cover inside (under) the ‘Rain’ cover and attach the two covers together with the snap fasteners. Easy and ready to go. When using both covers; use the non detachable straps of the ‘Rain’ cover on the top, and use both pairs of loops on the bottom, for any of the 4 easy-to-attach wearing styles.
2. Do the babywearing covers come with an included hood?
Yes, the Winter Covers and the Rain Clever Covers do have a hood included, but the Warm Clever Cover does not, but you can combine the Warm Clever Cover with the Rain Clever Cover and have the full 4 seasons experience.
3. Are the babywearing covers compatible with any baby carrier?
Yes, they are one-size designs, suitable for any parent and caregiver along with any wrap, sling, or soft-structured carrier.
4. What are the teething pads for?
By matching ISARA with teething pads you can prolong the life of your baby carrier! The shoulder straps are one of the most touched parts of the carrier, also accessible to the child’s teething habits when they tend to chew and bite. When they get dirty (and they will, you'll see), just remove them, give them a little wash and put them back on.
5. What is the fitting belt for?
The Fitting Belt, included in the upgraded 4th version of ISARA The Trendsetter (and can be bought separately to use with ISARA The ONE) is extremely useful for newborns and babies in their first months of life, allowing the wearer to extend the shoulder straps, and fasten the buckles under the baby’s bottom, at the waist belt area, in order to attain an optimal position of a small baby similar to the one achieved in a woven wrap. For a petite mother that might find the length of the straps a bit long, a great solution is using the fitting belt to close the crossed straps under the child’s bottom, adjusting it to the minimum or how tight it is necessary.
V. CARE INSTRUCTIONS
How can I safely wash ISARA? Is it machine washable?
ISARA carriers are made of 100% organic cotton, GOTS certified (The Global Organic Textile standard), the most important certificate for organic natural fibers.
They are made of high-quality materials, from buckles, straps, webbings to Velcro, recognized even in the automobile industry for resistance and endurance.
Just as the fabrics are organic and without color fixations or antistatic additives, it is recommended to only spot wash when necessary to increase the life of your carrier and maintain the fabric's properties.
In case of stains on the fabric, clean with a soft cloth dipped in soap and warm water and let it dry.
Washing the carrier before using is not necessary as it has been already prewashed professionally. If you prefer washing it, water rinsing by hand is enough.
Use the washing machine only when necessary. Please make sure you use a mild detergent and a delicate cycle, at no more than 30 degrees celsius. Do not tumble dry! Do not use fabric softener! Do not expose in direct sunlight after washing! Please ensure all buckles are fastened before washing!
VI. REVIEWS
What do babywearing mamas & consultants have to say about ISARA?
ISARA has been beautifully embraced by babywearing mamas worldwide. Ever since the first version of ISARA has been released it has gathered some of the most positive reviews in the babywearing community.
Lovely words have been spoken regarding the adjustability and innovation of ISARA baby carriers as well of the high quality found in every inch of the baby carrier.
ISARA The ONE
”...It fits so beautifully. My husband is really thin so it’s hard to find a carrier that fits right. And I’m plus sized and it fits me just right as well, with lots of room to spare!...” - Robin, The Netherlands
”...This is the first time we have used a carrier. It is impressive how well it fits to such a small baby. The carrier's fabric was so soft…” - Konstantina, Greece
”...The straps are big enough, strong and versatile, and that makes taking one baby out and putting the other in, very fast…” - Eva, Greece
ISARA The Trendsetter
”...When it comes to adjustments, it's very easy and simple…. It's really comfortable for me, for my shoulders and my back. And also, the baby shows that she is really comfortable in it too, by falling asleep every time. And sometimes when I take down the carrier, she stays in that position on me. To sum up, it is extremely, extremely soft. And so comfortable for me and the baby…” - Katarina, Greece
ISARA Quick Half Buckle Carrier
”...Hands down, the easiest carrier to set up by anyone. Seriously, setting up panel for any child is easy and very Quick! And the most comfortable for back carrying my 3years old boy!...” - Anela, Bosnia & Herzegovina
”...Just one move regulates the height and width of the panel at the same time. Oh yes one move 2 customization and ready for hugs. So simple... so fast!...” - Anna, Greece
ISARA Quick Full Buckle Carrier
“I love the idea of a really easy carrier you can easily adjust! I think it`s perfect for people who want to wear some time, but don`t want to dive into the babywearing world. Because it`s easy and it`s almost foolproof.” - Marloes de Graaf, Netherlands, babywearing consultant and former chairwoman of the Dutch babywearing Association
“The design is incredibly adjustable yet the easiest carrier belt I`ve ever tested. 2 clicks are hard to do wrong and it`s really a harness that`s easy to get started because there aren`t a number of buckles that need to get to know first.”
“Clean ergonomically and comfortably it`s really nice to have a carrier belt where the buckle doesn`t sit in the middle of the baby and under the arm of the carrier, but under the bum. It makes sure that baby doesn`t get an inappropriate move in the middle of the back which can happen with some carrier belts and it can be a solution for adults who are being bothered by the buckle under their arm. Exactly the buckle under the arm can tease many.” - Aja, Abeunger.dk, Denmark
“We like comfort but we also like convenience…
Can we have both?
Click-click and… go!
It`s coming … and it is really impressive, fast, even for the absolute beginner!!!” - Rania, Die Trageschule Babywearing Consultant, babywearing 365 in real life, Greece
”I was surprised how easy the straps glided through the buckle when tightening. The angle was also perfect for tightening when babywearing on my back. I also noticed the really long straps - ideal for bigger people! I love the carrier for being so simple and intuitive.” - Stefanie Eckstein - Germany

VII. ABOUT BABYWEARING
1.How can I be sure I placed the baby correctly into the carrier?
When you’re wearing a sling or carrier, don’t forget the T.I.C.K.S.
Copyright credits: UK Sling Consortium
TIGHT – slings and carriers should be tight enough to hug your baby close to you as this will be most comfortable for you both. Any slack/loose fabric will allow your baby to slump down in the carrier which can hinder their breathing and pull on your back.
IN VIEW AT ALL TIMES – you should always be able to see your baby’s face by simply glancing down. The fabric of a sling or carrier should not close around them so you have to open it to check on them. In a cradle position, your baby should face upwards not be turned in towards your body.
CLOSE ENOUGH TO KISS – your baby’s head should be as close to your chin as is comfortable. By tipping your head forward you should be able to kiss your baby on the head or forehead.
KEEP CHIN OFF THE CHEST – a baby should never be curled so their chin is forced onto their chest as this can restrict their breathing. Ensure there is always a space of at least a finger width under your baby’s chin.
SUPPORTED BACK – in an upright carry a baby should be held comfortably close to the wearer so their back is supported in its natural position and their tummy and chest are against you. If a sling is too loose they can slump which can partially close their airway. (This can be tested by placing a hand on your baby’s back and pressing gently - they should not uncurl or move closer to you.) A baby in a cradle carry in a pouch or ring sling should be positioned carefully with their bottom in the deepest part so the sling does not fold them in half pressing their chin to their chest
2. My baby is always crying when I place her / him into the carrier. What am I doing wrong?
You should not get nervous on your first try, practice is the key to successful babywearing. Before your first try, make sure the baby is relaxed, not hungry or thirsty and you are relaxed, as well. Don’t let a small obstacle as a little crying or a fuzziness scare you and make you give up. Watch some tutorials. Listen to music. Breathe some fresh air and drink a glass of water, then try again. Your baby will love being close to you, so just have a little patience and let him discover step by step, day by day, nap by nap, this whole new world. You’ll both love it!
3. How do I know my baby is ready for a back carry?
Each baby is so different at the same age! But you know your child is ready for a back carry when he has a good head and back control.
4. I am afraid to place my baby on my back for a back carry. How can I be sure he is safe before I make the adjustments?
It is normal to be nervous when you first try the back carry. But you have to trust your instincts and just try it, in small steps, always making sure you are in control of every movement.
Here are some videos that show you, step by step, how to get ready for a back carry in ISARA The Trendsetter.
http://bit.ly/BackCarryTrendsetter
5. How should I dress my baby when I babywear and it’s cold outside?
When you are getting your baby ready for carrying him in ISARA, take into consideration that the carrier itself and your body are a source of warmth, too (check out our Isara Winter Covers - https://www.isara.ro/en/search?poscats=0&s=protectii+de+iarna). And also the carrier could be considered another layer of clothing, so you should not overdress your baby, even if it’s winter. Make sure the hands, feet and head are protected and warm and you’re ready to go!
Besides dressing your child properly, ISARA gives you the possibility to match the baby carrier with a stylish babywearing cover that will keep your baby warm, easy to use, stylish to wear.
6. How can I protect the shoulder straps from my baby’s teething habits?
You can prolong the life of your carrier by matching ISARA with teething pads! The shoulder straps are one of the most touched parts of the carrier, also accessible to the child's teething habits when they tend to chew and bite. When they get dirty (and they will, you'll see), just remove them, give them a little gentle wash and put them back on.
VIII. BABYWEARING IN ISARA
1. Can I still use ISARA if I am pregnant?
Babywearing in pregnancy is possible for many women, if they are in good health and there is no medical reason to avoid lifting loads. It is not harmful to the baby in the womb but yet, we recommend you to consult your doctor if something feels uncomfortable or you are having concerns regarding this matter. Also, if you suffer from dizziness, we do not recommend you to babywear at all while pregnant.
From mom to mom, we recommend you to try the high back carry in ISARA Quick Half Buckle Carrier or different woven wrap carries, for example the rucksack tibetan style, that protect the growing belly and are comfortable for both you and the baby.
2. Can I wear twins in ISARA?
The ISARA woven wrap is a great way to wear both your babies in the same carry. Just make sure the length of the wrap offers you enough space or try using 2 woven wraps at the same time!
You can also use two structured baby carriers (or combine a structured baby carrier with a woven wrap), one in the front and one in the back, once your baby has good neck and head control.
3. I find the connection belt between the straps uncomfortable. Am I doing something wrong?
The connection belts from all ISARA carriers are adjustable, they glide easy up and down the webbing and are easy to remove or reattach to the shoulder straps if needed, giving you the possibility to place it wherever it feels comfortable ( for example, at the bra line or at the base of the neck). This way you can get the proper comfortable height for every carrying position.
Also, you can just try a front carry with crossed shoulder straps. Remove the connection belt and get the stylish, neat look you have always wanted.
4. Is it possible to breastfeed in ISARA?
Yes, you can easily breastfeed in all ISARA baby carriers, anywhere, anytime, just by loosening the shoulder straps in order to get enough space.
5. Do I need an insert in order to wear my 1 month baby?
The adjustable features of all ISARA baby carriers that were designed for wearing small babies give you the possibility to wear them without an insert. It assures the correct knee to knee coverage, just by narrowing the seat as much as needed. It also assures good support for the baby’s back in its natural position.
6. My baby likes to be carried facing forward. Is it possible in ISARA?
ISARA baby carriers do not provide you the possibility for forward facing, but a good alternative with ergonomic benefits would be the hip carry.
All ISARA baby carriers can be easily adjusted for hip carries. You can watch a step by step guide here: http://bit.ly/adjustISARA
Wearing your baby facing out could easily lead to overstimulation. Babies, especially in the first months of age, are extremely sensitive when it comes to lights, sounds and any other stimulus they have to face. When wearing them facing out, if they feel overwhelmed they cannot cuddle in their caregiver's arms for more comfort and securement.
On the other hand, you, as a wearer, are able to sense faster every need the child might have while wearing your baby towards you and at the same time you can respond easier to any cues. Moreover, the correct ergonomic position cannot be provided, because the natural J and M position are impossible to be attained, not to mention a safe position for sleep with the baby's neck supported.
To top it off, just think of how many beautiful views of your baby you won't be able to see!
