A little walk down memory lane
Have you ever wondered where the name The Trendsetter is coming from? Not many of you know, but ISARA V1, the first version of the nowadays ISARA Trendsetter V4, was launched in 2013 and it was the first Soft Structured baby carrier made by ISARA, fully adjustable! It was also among the first adjustable baby carriers ever existed in the world setting the trend in adjustable babywearing, and hence, this is where its name is coming from!
Its recognition travelled the world, and even though, at first, many were hesitating to test the new and innovative adjustable baby carrier, in the end it was so well received by parents and babywearing consultants that soon after, in 2014, a new version, improved, was released!
New designs were added to the collection and soon, ISARA’s reputation started to grow. In 2015, ISARA had already travelled the world and got embraced by parents worldwide! It was such a success that a new version, the 3rd, had been released! ISARA V3, The Trendsetter, was assessed and certified according to both EU and US Safety Regulations and received for 2 years in a row Design Awards for its innovative features ( International Design Awards 2016 Silver Winner and European Product Design Award 2017 Gold Winner).
ISARA Innovation Lab has developed in 2020 the 4th version of the multi-awarded carrier, ISARA The Trendsetter, embellished with innovative features that once again set the trend in the babywearing world, becoming even more intuitive and comfortable!
More about ISARA The Trendsetter v4
Available in two sizes, standard size and toddler size, this carrier was designed thinking of the most meticulous parents, who appreciate that tailor-made, perfect fit for their child, with precise adjustability for every need. With an intuitive way of using it, it’s the most ingenious solution for every parenthood challenge, when responding to your child’s needs has to be simple, fast and extremely comfortable.
Due to the multidimensional, precise adjustability given by the innovative features, ISARA The Trendsetter V4 provides you the possibility for front carry, with parallel or crossed shoulder straps, hip carry and back carry, with the baby always facing you.
Designed in standard and toddler size, you can figure out the way to adjust ISARA The Trendsetter in just a few moments, intuitively and once everything is set, it offers precise adjustability for every need.
The standard size version of ISARA The Trendsetter is suitable for wearing babies from 4 weeks / size 56 up to 2-3 years of age/ size 98 while the toddler size of ISARA The Trendsetter is suitable for wearing babies from 6 months/size 68 up to 5-6 years of age/ size 116.
ISARA The Trendsetter special features
The innovative panel of the standard size can be adjusted from 31 cm (12,2 inches) cm to 45 cm (17,7 inches). The body of the carrier can be adjusted, lowered or raised, on both sides, or even asymmetrically. Also, the adjustable panel makes it even easier to breastfeed, anywhere, anytime, only by manipulating the straps of the panel.
The seat also adjusts steplessly, always ensuring the froggy position. The standard size can be narrowed from 38 cm (15 inches) to 18 cm (7 inches). The innovative adjustment process of the seating involves setting the desired length by using a high-quality velcro system. The adjustments are intuitive, and the result is the anatomically correct ”froggy” position of the baby and a comfortable, perfect fit.
The comfy belt is filled with premium memory foam that provides the most comfortable carrying experience on a long-distance journey.
A detachable hood is included, extremely useful when the baby is asleep, for extra neck support, or when the weather requires special protection. The hood has some elastic bands that click into a clip positioned on the shoulder straps of the carrier. The clips glide up and down for a more accurate fixation. The hood is attached to the carrier with snaps and it can be detached completely.
The Fitting Belt, included in the upgraded 4th version of ISARA The Trendsetter, is extremely useful for newborns and babies in their first months of life, allowing the wearer to extend the shoulder straps, and fasten the buckles under the baby’s bottom, at the waist belt area, in order to attain an optimal position of a small baby similar to the one achieved in a woven wrap. For a petite mother that might find the length of the straps a bit long, a great solution is using the fitting belt to close the crossed straps under the child’s bottom, adjusting it to the minimum or how tight it is necessary.
The connection strap is optimised for increased accessibility. The closure point is in the middle, making it extremely easy to reach for buckling. It can be detached and reattached easily, wherever you prefer to close it, high on your neck or lower on the bra line.
The 4th version of ISARA The Trendsetter includes, besides the innovative seating and panel, a lot of features for comfort, safety and a neat look.
Difference between The ONE & The Trendsetter
The Trendsetter is available in 2 adjustable sizes, standard for baby’s size from 56 to 98 cm and toddler from 68 to 116 cm. It doesn’t have adapters or transformers, but it’s super adjustable between sizes. It’s easier to figure out than The ONE right when you get it out of the box but, budget wise, can be a little more expensive if you decide to babywear long term, because you’ll have to switch between sizes, from standard to toddler, when your baby will reach about 3 years of age, despite The ONE, which offers extreme adjustability and the same baby carrier adjusts from newborn to preschooler.
It’s the perfect choice if you prefer a lighter, more compact, less expensive version of The ONE, but remember that if you’d like to babywear past 3 years old, you’d have to upgrade to the toddler version of The Trendsetter. Its innovative features, for example, the possibility to adjust the panel asymmetrically for head support while sleeping, also found in The ONE, make it one of the most appreciated on the market. It also comes with a fitting belt included – this addition offers you the possibility to close the shoulder straps between baby’s bottom – the Infant Fitting Belt is useful for newborns and babies in their first months of life, allowing the wearer to extend the shoulder straps and close the buckle under the baby’s bottom, at the waist belt area, in order to attain an optimal position of a small baby similar to the one achieved in a woven wrap.
